Secondary education is not free in Malawi and many families are not able to pay either for the fees to allow their children to attend school. A few Government bursaries are available for gifted children but the sad reality is many children are simple unable to attend secondary school. We along with several other schools in Scotland contribute funds to a central scheme which is administered in Likhubula and is providing the secondary school education to local students. The scheme has recently reported this project as an resounding success. |
